DataRev Handoff Audit & Gemini Technical Briefing
An exhaustive analysis of DataRevolution's architecture, handoff sync loops, multi-jurisdiction regulatory compliance engine, and production deployment readiness.
Compliance Engine
Multi-jurisdiction validation: LFPDPPP (MX), GDPR (EU), HIPAA/CCPA (US). AI Act Annex III adjusted to Dec 2027 per Digital Omnibus.
Calculator Suite
Cloud Cost, LLM Inference TCO, MAD 2025 12-Role Headcount, Build vs Buy & Agentic Governance estimators.
Dev-Brain Daily Sync
Audited `daily-sync.sh` auto-stamp sed mechanism vs manual body updates in `HANDOFF.md` & `DATREV_CONTEXT_RESUME.md`.
Supabase & Dual Push
Supabase RPC security definer lead capture, `team_training` migration, dual-push to `datarev-solutions` with Secret Scanning.
1. Executive Summary & Gemini Context Audit
During a recent pair-engineering session between Dante Téllez and Gemini AI, a detailed audit was conducted across the DataRev (DataRevolution) codebase and its dev-brain documentation repository.
Two primary handoff documents were inspected:
DATREV_CONTEXT_RESUME.md(in the project repository) — A lightweight cross-agent handoff pointer.~/dev-brain/projects/datarev-diagnostico/HANDOFF.md— The canonical, detailed architectural record (23KB+) containing RPC details, verification bugs, Vercel traps, and next steps.
The Daily-Sync Automation Failure Mode
Analysis of the daily sync cron script (0 8 * * * ~/dev-brain/scripts/daily-sync.sh) revealed a subtle trap: The script automatically stamped the **Updated**: header line with the git commit date via sed, reconciled the portfolio, and committed to git. However, it never modified the markdown body.
Key Insight: An auto-stamped date header is not empirical evidence that handoff context is up to date!
2. Uncaptured Engineering Milestones
The audit identified key technical capabilities built into DataRev that required documentation reconciliation:
Multi-Jurisdiction Compliance Module
Engineered compliance.ts & complianceRegimes.ts with 35 passing Vitest unit tests. Retired the EU-only classifier in favor of multi-jurisdiction rules covering LFPDPPP (Mexico), GDPR (EU), and HIPAA/CCPA (US).
EU AI Act Schedule Correction
Updated EU AI Act Annex III enforcement deadlines from mid-2026 to December 2027 in compliance with the latest Digital Omnibus Act provisions.
Labs Suite Rebranding
Rebranded 3 interactive web applications located in public/labs/, transitioning all branding assets from MIT to DataRev.
Dual-Push & Security Scanning
Configured parallel push to private and public mirrors (datarev-solutions) with GitHub Secret Scanning and Push Protection enabled.
3. DataRev Platform Tech Stack
| Layer | Technology |
|---|---|
| Framework | Next.js 16 (App Router, Turbopack) & React 19 |
| Styling | Tailwind CSS v4 & Custom CSS Design Tokens |
| Backend & Auth | Supabase Postgres + RPC Security Definer Functions |
| Testing | Vitest (349 unit tests passing) |
